This setting is used to tell bot the hours prior/after news that it should not trade. Let’s say you specify 6-hours-before and 4-hours-after, and there is an upcoming NFP News (red folder) at 13:00.

It means, bot will not open any new position starting from 07:00 – 17:00. Please note that this setting is also dependent on KeepTradingWhenThereAreOpenPositions. If you decide to keep trading, it means bot will keep opening martingale for already-opened positions during the news period.
