Hammer is a candle which might indicate a reversal. See below.
Using this TA, you can specify what the “hammer” needs to look like ie. the height of the wick and body, etc.
HammerMainWickPips is to indicate the minimum length of the main wick (in pips), which on a “green” candle, it will be the upper wick. On a “red” candle, it will be the lower wick.
HammerBodyWickPips is to indicate the maximum length of the body (in pips). In the case of hammer, we want as small body wick pips as possible.
HammerSecondaryWickPips is to indicate the maximum length of the secondary/tail wick (in pips), which on a “green” candle, it will be the lower candle. On a “red” candle, it will be the upper wick. We want the secondary wick to be as minimum as possible to notify bot that the hammer candle does not have any “tail”.
A BUY signal will be produced when a “red candle hammer” is found. And vice versa, SELL signal will be produced when “green candle hammer” is found.
And finally, HammerTrendCandleCount is used to tell bot how long (in number of candles) it needs to keep the BUY/SIGNAL for. This will be useful if you want to use multiple TAs.
